Description of Practice
Since 2009, Tony has been a valuable member of the Louis Plung & Company team. In his current capacity at a partner, Tony works with clients who need help overcoming significant business challenges. This could mean anything from the sale or purchase of a business to suspected employee theft or a devastating fire. Tony is a qualified business appraiser and regularly performs business valuation for purposes such as estate and gift taxes, 409 stock valuations, intangible assets valuation, shareholder claims, business sales and acquisitions, and estate planning. In his role as a certified fraud examiner, he has performed investigations of fraud schemes relating to payroll, fake vendors, insurance fraud, cash theft, and financial statement misrepresentation. A professional in the field since 2003, Tony’s previous experience includes serving in various audit positions at a couple local public accounting firms, as well as time spent working in accounting for the University of Pittsburgh.
An eager professional, Tony credits his success in the accounting field to his willingness to learn new things. In fact, it was his love of learning about how businesses operate that inspired him to pursue a career in accounting in the first place. When it comes to serving his clients, Tony strives to be very responsive—his goal is to always respond to client calls or emails as soon as possible and deliver exceptional service.
Raised in Pittsburgh, Tony loves that he gets to live in his hometown to this day. His favorite thing about the city is Picklesburgh, an annual, three-day festival devoted to all things pickle. Tony lives with his wife, Samantha, and their dog, Lola. He enjoys spending his free time watching movies, running, and hopes one day to have enough free time to learn to play golf.
