Rachel joined Louis Plung in 2015 as a Senior in the Audit & Assurance department and was named Senior Manager in July 2022.

She oversees audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning stages through the issuance of financial statements among various industries and ensures that the engagements are performed effectively and efficiently.

Rachel really enjoys complex technical challenges – especially when her technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills help her clients succeed. For example, one of Rachel’s clients wanted to acquire a business but was not in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The sale was contingent on bringing the financial records into accordance, but the business had paper records that went back over 30 years. Rachel and her team worked diligently on getting into the details of the business and were able to bring the financial records into accordance with GAAP from inception. The result was that Rachel’s client was able to acquire the business in 2021 for approximately $10 million.

Rachel’s strong technical skills also make her a go-to source of technical knowledge for her Louis Plung colleagues. In fact, she is frequently called upon to train Louis Plung staff on technical updates such as new accounting standards and A&A updates.

Raised in Berlin, Pennsylvania, Rachel currently lives in Pittsburgh with her two Shih Tzu dogs, Roxy & Chloe. Because Rachel’s mother is a French national, Rachel spent her childhood summers visiting relatives in France including the French Riviera, Paris & Versailles. She considers herself a travel addict, foodie, and nature lover, chasing inspiration one adventure at a time.
