Manager

Matthew Goss, CPA/ABV

Matt is Manager of the Forensic, Litigation & Valuation Department. Prior to joining Louis Plung & Company, he spent three years at a ‘Big 4’ firm, specializing in tax consulting and advisory in the manufacturing and retail industries.

Description of Practice

In 2022, Matt joined Louis Plung & Company as Supervisor and was promoted to Consulting Manager of the Forensic, Litigation and Valuation department just two years later.

Specializing in serving professional services, private equity, and investment funds, Matt also represents the firm as a member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Future Corporate Leader (FCL). In addition, he serves on the Board of Levo International, a not-for-profit organization that aims to promote food security.

Matt was born and raised in Hampton Township, just 30 minutes outside the city of Pittsburgh– which explains his love for Pittsburgh sports. When not supporting and celebrating his Pittsburgh teams, he spends his free time golfing and rock climbing.

Matt considers himself a lifelong student and embraces the unique challenges that his clients face. The M&A process can be long and demanding, but he enjoys the challenge that every deal poses. The most fulfilling part of his job is helping his clients successfully navigate through this process– in the aspects of both buying and selling.
