Since 2017, Tom has been a valuable member of the Louis Plung & Company team. He currently serves as a manager in the firm’s Tax Department. In this role, he works primarily with high net worth individuals and small business owners, performing income tax preparation services. Tom is respected as the go-to person in the office for individual tax issues. Prior to joining Louis Plung & Company, Tom spent three and a half years with BDO USA, performing individual and trust taxation.

Tom is reliable, good natured, easy going, and detail oriented. He seeks to treat others the way that he would like to be treated. Growing up, a family friend was a CPA; his encouragement first piqued Tom’s interest in the field. After taking some accounting classes in high school, he decided to pursue the industry seriously. Tom attributes his career success to a combination of hard work, embracing change, and always being willing to learn.

Though he was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, Tom has spent most of his life living in Pittsburgh. He enjoys it because, even though medium-sized, it has a small-town feeling. In his free time, Tom likes watching hockey, going out with friends, and playing tabletop games.
