DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE
Richard has spent the majority of his 46-year career serving the auditing, tax, and consulting needs of privately held organizations and their owners. He has significant experience handling accounting, tax planning, and tax compliance issues with all types of entities, from one-person operations to large, multi-state corporations.

Richard is experienced in working with manufacturing companies and their owners. He has helped these companies realize thousands of dollars in tax savings by proper tax planning and timely elections. Over the years, he has appealed many Internal Revenue Service and state decisions for his clients, in most cases saving them substantial taxes and penalties. In addition, Richard has focused on individual tax strategies, including the creation of trusts, estate and gift planning, and family limited partnerships. Richard has worked with public companies for the past 35 years, and has an in-depth understanding of their unique tax and accounting needs. He proactively works with the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board to ensure clients remain in compliance with current regulatory standards.

Prior to joining Louis Plung in 1975, Richard was employed by four different CPA firms in the Pittsburgh area.
