DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE
Joe is a Manager in Louis Plung's audit department. In this role, he manages the audit and tax preparation of all nonprofit audit engagements within the firm. He has more than 20 years of accounting, auditing, and tax experience with nonprofits, governmental entities, large and mid-size companies, and employee benefit plans. Nonprofit experience includes volunteer health and welfare organizations, governments, school districts and intermediate units, and social clubs, as well as other nonprofit clubs and organizations. Joe has also conducted audits in accordance with OMB Circular A-133, Government Auditing Standards and auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America. Prior to joining Louis Plung in 2004, Joe worked for two accounting firms in eastern Pennsylvania.

  • Manage the audit of 15 employee benefit plans, which include a defined benefit plan and a 403(b) plan for a large grocery chain and retailer/wholesaler in the Pittsburgh region.
