DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE
Connie has more than ten years of experience in tax and public accounting for clients in the retail, real estate development, and manufacturing industries. She is a manager in the tax department at Louis Plung, and in this role, she supervises and coordinates activities of the tax staff and provides review and feedback on their work product. Connie joined Louis Plung in 2004 after working with a national accounting firm for four years.

She has extensive experience with the preparation and review of complex partnerships, sole proprietors, and corporations in the public and private sectors. Connie actively manages client engagements from beginning to completion, working closely with clients, staff, and partners to perform tax services. She also conducts tax research and consults on various tax matters. In addition to clients in private industry, Connie's clients also include trusts, estates, and nonprofits.

ENGAGEMENTS
  • Conduct preparation and review of federal and multi-state s-corp tax returns for a nationwide construction company and its affiliates. Perform research on state income and franchise tax compliance and treatment on QSSS for more than 15 states. Also analyze shareholders' basis and suspended losses from the client.
  • Responsible for preparation and review of more than 30 s-corp, partnership, and LLC tax returns for multi-tiered partnership/LLC structures for large real estate development and management group; analyze and calculate special allocations among partners, sale of partnership interest, and Sec. 754 basis adjustments.
  • Review of client-prepared consolidated and separate company federal and multi-state tax returns for major grocery chain, including M-3 workpapers and schedules, tax depreciation, and state A&A schedules.
